Worked on a variety of video projects and documentaries of the past years as an editor, director and videographer.

Managed the booking of equipment and studios, provided support to students and helped with the maintenance of the school’s equipment. Became proficient in the use of video and photographic cameras, Marantz audio recorders and various microphones as well as TV and radio studio equipment.

Web Design Instructor at ComputeTY, DCU
January 2015 – January 2015 (1 month)

Prepared class material each weeks to classes of 40 TY students on average. The weekly classes covered HTML, CSS, basic video editing and image editing and touched on some Javascript. I was helped by three assistants during class. Each student has to design their own website during the week and create their own content.

Rewriting stories to fit them in the paper, check facts and correct every grammatical and spelling mistakes. The sub desk works closely with many other departments within the paper such as the design team and news desk. As a news sub editor I needed to have excellent writing skills, understand and apply the house style consistently and understand the news.

Designing each issue of the newspaper as well as looking after its production. I had to ensure that the material used was of outstanding quality. I was also responsible for a small team assisting me in my work. I worked along with the Editor-in-Chief and the Arts Editor.

Press agency: Sorted photographs, wrote captions and key words, sent photographs to clients and invoiced publications.
Gallery: Wrote press releases, coordinated with photographers and organised the gallery’s exhibition.
Com agency: Organised castings, assisted both client and photographer during the photoshoot, edited photographs and produced a fashion catalogue.
Experienced the different aspects of the photography industry and mastered image editing. I improved my writing and research skills delivering captions.

Production Assistant / Sound recordist at SwanSong Films

Organised casting, helped preparing film sets (lights, cameras, microphones, props), recorded sound and assisted the producer during shoot. Worked closely with other team members and actors. I gained technical expertise using the equipment and learned to adapt and improvise in sometimes difficult situations.

Was responsible for setting up the stage area: lighting, microphones and cameras and taking live feedback and commands from the producer while filming. Learned to operate a camera in different live situations, in a big venue at Nobel Laureate event in the Helix where I filmed on stage with a hand held camera, and in a smaller venue for the six episodes of the Talking Heads DCU series in the Interfaith Centre where I operated a camera on tripod.

Co Editor at GTI Gazette
February 2011 – August 2011 (7 months)

Selected articles from a wide range of submission. Proofed each articles for spelling and grammatical mistakes. Ensured articles legal and factual correctness. Published articles online and formatted them. Organised meetings with staff writers and other members of the team as well as eventual interviewees. Created and initiated the project of an online publication and contributed to the design and layout of the website.

Projects

 

The College View
2012-2014

Designed and produced each issues of the university newspaper for the past two years. I have also written news stories and features for the newspaper and regularly take pictures for both print and online publications.

Devernois winter advertising campaign
September 2013

Edited the photograph selected and designed the advertisement. It was published in five magazines in France and Belgium: Grazia, Elle, Figaro Mme, Gael and Feeling.

Agence ANA Website
October 2013

Designed and set up their website. The French photography agency needed a tailored website to fit its new objectives as it shifted from a photography press agency to a gallery over the summer.
